Hi guys, I have 2 computers running on my adsl connection and when im connected to HOB server my other pc cant connect, it just sits there awaiting connection , Would any one have any idea how to fix this problem, 2 copies of sof2mp with differnet cd keys. This is a common issue with routers that has trouble sending the right data packets to the right computer when both computers are connected to the same server. Most often this can be fixed by reconfiguring the router. The following steps often help: 1 Log into your modem / router 2 Turn OFF UPNP. 3 Turn off PC UPnP Service: 4 Press: Windows-button a window should pop up. Write: “services.msc” (without the “) then press enter. 5 In the list of services, scroll down to “UPnP Device Host”, click it and press “Stop service”. Now do the same thing but with the service “SSDP Discovery”. 6 Exit the window and go to control panel-> Network and Internet-> Network and Sharing Centre-> Change advanced sharing settings (to the left)-> Under “network discovery” select to turn off network discovery 7 Save your changes Also, updating the router firmware can help. Other solutions I've heard work are: Disabling then re-enabling uPnP Disabling router firewall Setting up IP addresses manually instead of using DHCP Buying static IPs from ISP so each computer had it's own Calling the ISP and have them fix whatever issue they were having (typically if you are behind a NAT) Upgrading firmware on router/modem Buying another router
One computer using wired connection while the other using the wifi on the router

so update I was able to get it working it was the router the whole time even though i had two different routers i finally just reset the second router and plugged it in and it works fine to have me and my son on the same server. Also the vpn trick worked as well if you cant switch routers or buy a new one.
